Annual tech trade show CES 2020 saw a variety of new smartphones being introduced, so we've put together a list of the best we've seen at the biggest tech show in the world.

Some of these phones are real handsets that you can buy and get your hands on in the near future; others are concept devices that show what the future of phones might look like.

We've made a list of the six best phones we've seen at CES 2020, and we're going to run all of them below. Some are equipped for 5 G, some are foldable, and some are just new versions of existing product series.

1

OnePlus Concept One
OnePlus Concept One
The cameras on this device's back can' disappear' if you don't use them. The phone basically shoots through the glass an electrical current that houses the cameras, making the lenses invisible when you don't want to see them. It's a technology similar to what modern cars use to make transparent sunroofs.

The OnePlus Concept One is not a smartphone that you will ever be able to purchase because, as the name suggests, it is just a concept tool that OnePlus uses to show off its new tech.

The rest of the phone is just a regular OnePlus phone, with the phone simply intended to show the missing act. OnePlus said that this tech might come to its future smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite about eleven months after the release of the Galaxy S10. It is a device larger than its namesake, but in a few key areas some of the specs are downgraded.

We haven't really seen this type of device from Samsung before matching the size of the main flagship series but offering lower spec. There's the Galaxy S10e that came out next to the Galaxy S10, but it's much more like the existing phones.

The S10 Lite has as much in common as the compact Galaxy S phones do with the cheaper Galaxy A line.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is a tempting device for affordable fans of phones, but it is also a fascinating look into Samsung's phones ' future. Could Samsung release annual budget versions of its Galaxy S phones like the Google Pixel 3a range has started? Only time is going to say.

3

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
As well as an affordable Galaxy S10 version, Samsung took to CES 2020 to unveil the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, a budget version of Note 10, you guessed.

This new phone is the cheapest Samsung smartphone to come with a stylus, so if you like the business-centric form of the Galaxy Note phones but don't want to break the bank, it might be a great phone for you.

We don't expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 11 until the second half of 2020, so picking up a more affordable version of the Note series would be a great time now. Hopefully this phone would open the stylus-toting smartphone to an entirely new people's market.

4

Samsung Galaxy A71
Samsung Galaxy A71
At CES 2020, the affordable Samsung Galaxy A range won two new devices, the Galaxy A51 and this one, the A71, one of the mid-range high-tech devices ever seen.

The device has a large 6.7-inch screen, four rear cameras with a 64MP main snapper and a 4,500mAh chunky battery. It looks like it's going to be great for a variety of users on paper.

If this shows how the Samsung Galaxy A phones will look in 2020, it's a sunny forecast, and we look forward to seeing more of the devices throughout the year.

TCL 10 5G
TCL 10 5G
We have been waiting for the announcement of an affordable 5 G phone, and it seems that TCL wants to be one of the first to release one with its TCL 105G. Together with the TCL 10L and 10 Pro, the smartphone was introduced, though it's not quite like either.

The main point of sale here is that TCL promises that the device will be available for less than $500 (and probably around £ 500, AU$700), making it much more affordable than most other 5 G handsets on the market.

This is a forecast for 2020 as many more businesses seem to be able to try to produce 5 G phones that are cheap enough for most people to buy. Everything can begin with the TCL 10 5 G, one of CES ' most interesting mid-rangers.

6
TCL foldable phone (version two)
TCL foldable phone (version two)
We've seen TCL's foldable phone before, but with some interesting innovations at CES 2020 the company showed off a new version of its flexible smartphone.

The biggest news here is not that there is a new foldable phone, but for the new form factor, what it means. Like 5 G phones, TCL is trying to develop a folding device that is affordable enough to be purchased by most people.

TCL wants to make a device that doesn't cost a huge sum of four figures, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but an affordable range of smartphones that are cheap enough to compete with normal smartphones.

The product may not be ready for release just yet, as the design still feels a bit fragile, but if this gets into our hands soon it may be enough to force other companies to make affordable foldable phones as well.

lenovo

At CES 2020 in Las Vegas, Lenovo showed off the world's first 5 G laptop, with the Lenovo Yoga 5 G becoming the first PC to connect to 5 G networks.

We first saw back at Computex 2019 an early version of the Lenovo Yoga 5 G, where it was branded as Project Limitless before its official name was released, and now we have a glimpse of the final product.

This is an ultra-portable2-in-1 device, like other Yoga laptops, with a screen that can be folded backwards to turn it into a tablet.

The Lenovo Yoga 5 G is the first laptop to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx platform, which includes built-in 5 G connection support, enabling the Yoga 5 G to connect via a service provider and super-fast mobile internet access.

This will allow you to easily download large files, with download speeds of around 4Gb / s, according to Lenovo. If this is handled, it could be a real change in the game.

24-hour battery life The Lenovo Yoga 5 G provides 5 G connectivity, but it can also support the battery life of up to 24 hours. Qualcomm Adreno 680 graphics and Dolby Atmos driven user-facing stereo speakers mean that the Yoga 5 G should also be a good entertainment system.

The 14-inch full HD IPS screen provides 400 nits of brightness, so it should provide vibrant image quality, weighing just 2.86lbs (1.3 kg), so it's going to be nice and portable.

We look forward to an attempt soon to give the Lenovo Yoga 5 G–keep an eye out for our hands on review. From our point of view, previous Snapdragon-powered laptops were missed opportunities as they were dropped by poor performance. We hope the pattern will be bucked by the Lenovo Yoga5G.

In the first quarter of 2020, the Lenovo Yoga 5 G will go on sale starting at $1,499 (around £ 1,200, AU$2,100) and will be branded as the Lenovo Flex 5 G in North America.

Portégé X30L-G

At CES 2020, Dynabook unveiled with Intel's 10th generation processors, the Portégé X30L-G, the world's lightest 13.3-inch business laptop.

The company's new laptop is designed for portability at just 870 g and the device includes numerous features to help improve connectivity, performance, security and user experience while meeting and exceeding Microsoft's Modern Device standard, which serves as a benchmark for modern computing devices.

The Portégé X30L-G aims to be the perfect companion for working professionals, and the laptop has been carefully designed with an exceptionally light but durable magnesium chassis. Dynabook has designed the computer to meet MIL-STD-810 G requirements and the laptop is put through military-grade drop, temperature, humidity and dust-proof testing to prove how durable it is.

In terms of screen configuration, the Portégé X30L-G has a Sharp non-reflective 13 "IGZO FHD LCD screen that offers high brightness at 470NIT but low power consumption compared to a st. A 14.5-hour battery life combined with a Quick Charge function that can provide a 4-hour battery charging time of just 30 minutes means users don't have to worry about keeping their battery in motion.

Despite the ultra-lightweight and compact form factor of the Portégé X30L-G, Dynabook has not compromised its specs and the laptop features the latest Intel Core 10th generation processors with a wide selection of SSD storage options like SATA, quick PCIe and Intel Optane to allow fast workflows and increase productivity.

The laptop features a Micro SD card reader to provide additional portable storage options for users as well as rapid DDR4 RAM memory to ensure that the device can meet the demands of today's business applications.

A USB Type-C port allows users to charge and connect the Portégé X30L-G to display or transfer data via a single connection. While the design of the laptop is ultraslim, it is still fitted with a full-size HDMI port and two USB 3.0 ports to prevent users from having to carry adapters while they are driving.

Due to face and fingerprint biometric authentication via Windows Hello and Intel Authenticate, the Portégé X30L-G is also highly secure. The new laptop from Dynabook also includes the Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) and the company's own bios to provide another robust layer of protection.

Samsung Profits

Samsung has offered the strongest indication yet that, despite telling investors that operating profit fell by a third in the latest quarter, its troubles could be over.

Samsung said sales were about 59 trillion Won (£ 39bn) ahead of the official announcement of its Q4 results, with operating profits of about 7.1 trillion won (£ 4.7bn).

This is more than an estimate of some analysts.

The Korean technology giant has endured several challenging quarters as relatively sluggish smartphone sales were compounded by a memory chip market crash. Samsung is the world's leading manufacturer in the field, with traditionally two-thided memory chips responsible for its profits.

The company provides many of its rivals, which means it is particularly susceptible to any downturn, while a declining data center market has hit the demand for server chips. In addition, higher inventories have led to a drop in prices.

Nevertheless, the company will be confident that, in addition to demand for 5 G handsets, the chip industry will be revived to reduce trade conflicts between the US and China. Rival Micron also predicted a rebound in the near future, claiming it had hit a "cyclical bottom" for its own shareholders.

The mobile business of Samsung is expected to gain significantly. It is expected to reveal a new foldable handset and a new version of the Samsung Galaxy S flagship at next month's event in San Francisco.

LG V60 ThinQ

LG, like many brands, seems to be under the impression that more is better when it comes to smartphone cameras. At least, this is what the rear panel of the LG V60 ThinQ's newly leaked images suggest.

These images, shared on SlashLeaks, show a cut-out on the back that appears large enough for at least four camera lenses, one more than the LG V50 ThinQ or the LG G8.

The name ' V60 ThinQ' is printed on the back, so there's little question that we're looking at this here (although we'd still take the pictures with a pinch of salt), and the pictures show the phone in both black and white shades.

The only other major detail to note is that there is no visible fingerprint scanner, other than the camera and the color. There was a scanner on the back of both the LG V50 ThinQ and the LG G8, but this means that the LG V60 would switch it on-screen, like the LG G8X and many other phones.

Ironically, these images also look much like recently leaked sketches from the LG G9 ThinQ, which also display a similarly laid out quad-lens rear camera.

This means the two phones could be quite close, and they could also launch simultaneously, with a February announcement being expected at MWC 2020.

We don't know much about either handset yet, but both of them are likely to use the new Snapdragon 865 chipset, and at least one of them is likely to support Dual Screen accessories from LG. The LG V60 ThinQ is expected to be slightly more impressive–and costly–than the LG G9 ThinQ based on past shape.

Galaxy S11

It's not long before the Samsung Galaxy S11 is launched-we're awaiting an announcement from February 11-but the company may have unintentionally indicated a big new picture feature ahead of its launch.

The company appears to have leaked the codename for the phone on Samsung's website for the launch event. This codename was picked up by GalaxyClub, which found that the following URL contained the phrase ' Hubble-Bloom-Registration' when you signed up for email updates on the event in some regions.

These are the best camera phones you should buy from Samsung phones?
Read our Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite review Hubble and Bloom are two codenames we've heard before; the former has been referred to as the Galaxy S11 during production, and Bloom is probably the codename for the expected Galaxy Fold 2. We'd previously heard both titles, but this is the first time we heard it from Samsung's mouth itself.

We expected the Samsung Galaxy S11 to have Huawei P30 and Google Pixel4-style astrophotography mode due to the' Hubble' moniker (after the space telescope). Samsung patented a' Space Zoom ' software feature that sounds like it's designed to take pictures of celestial bodies.

Through releasing the Galaxy S11 codename, Samsung itself backs up speculation that this photography feature will come with its upcoming phones.

And what can we unpack the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 from the name ' Bloom?' Okay, not much, because when you open it, you might refer to any foldable phone as' blooming.'

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is about to get another version, as it has appeared on both a support page and a promotional list. Samsung is very interested in taking over the "latest 5 G tablet" launch, aiming to be ahead of the 5 G Huawei MatePad Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 has been out for some time now, since August, but with a few cool price cuts, it's aged well. The version 5 G now provides an official support page. It is specs-free so we know what to expect. Codenamed SM-T866N, the device is also part of a promotion that Samsung organizes in her homeland. It's a series of bundles that include buying a Tab S5e, Galaxy Tab A, with or without an S Pen, as well as the Tab S6 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G.

The model is classified as "Coming Soon" and by the way, the promotion runs until 30 March 2020. We expect the same hardware under the fingerprint scanner and a Snapdragon 855 CPU between the Tab S6 and Tab S6 5 G including a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED screen. RAM is 6 or 8 GB, storage is 128 GB or 256 GB, plus a 7040 mAh battery. We also get an AKG setup with 4 speakers. Essentially, it's the same thing, plus an X50 5 G modem.

The S Pen that magnetically sticks to the rear is part of the same kit. Speaking of premieres, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 already had one, as it was the screen's first HDR10 + -certified tablet in the world.

reliance jio

Reliance Jio unveiled its awaited Wi-Fi calling service on Wednesday to offer voice and video calls across a Wi-Fi network. Jio has announced the nationwide launch of its Wi-Fi calling service, which is available for voice and video calls, after testing it over the past few months. Nonetheless, the service will be phased out until January 16. The telco headquartered in Mumbai says that over 150 smartphone models help the Jio Wi-Fi calling service. This is contrary to Airtel's Wi-Fi calling service, which was exclusive to some big models that companies like Apple, OnePlus, Samsung, and Xiaomi offered.

Users with an active tariff plan for Jio can use the Wi-Fi calling service to make voice calls using a Wi-Fi network— even if they are not connected to a mobile network. Jio users can make video calls using the new service as well as making voice calls over a Wi-Fi network. The service is also available at no additional cost, ensuring that consumers do not have to pay an additional amount to take advantage of their apps.

If you are in a remote area or in a building's cellular-dark zone where cellular networks are not available, the new service is useful. Jio claims that between VoLTE and Wi-Fi network, voice and video calls will switch seamlessly. It ensures that, when their devices move to a Wi-Fi network to facilitate ongoing calls, users will not face any delay.
How to enable Jio Wi-Fi calling (aka Jio VoWiFi) You need to allow your computer to use the new service by calling Wi-Fi or voice-over-Wi-Fi (VoWiFi). You must first connect to a Wi-Fi network to do this, and then access your phone's Settings menu. Here, depending on the phone's make, you will need to find and activate the Wi-Fi Calling or Wi-Fi option.

However, although Jio claims to offer the service across more than 150 handset models, not all mobile phones are available. By visiting the dedicated Jio Wi-Fi calling website, you can test the compatibility of your computer.

Last month, Jio arch-rival Airtel unveiled its Wi-Fi calling service in Delhi NCR for its subscribers, making the Delhi-based operator the first telco to provide Wi-Fi calling support. It also extended the service's availability to metropolitan cities like Kolkata and Mumbai, and expanded its reach to include a collection of handsets.

That said, by announcing the pan-India launch of its Wi-Fi calling service, Jio aims to take on Airtel. Given the increasing number of network issues in major cities across the country, to some extent, Wi-Fi calling is a relief. However, users need to connect to a Wi-Fi network in order to take advantage of the new development.

Cat has added to its portfolio a new rugged phone–the Cat S32. The Cat S32 was released at CES 2020, offering modest internal hardware, but running on Android 10. Specifications, however, are not what Cat phones are known for, as they are mainly known for their solid build quality, and the Cat S32 is not disappointing. The construction of the new Cat phone is IP68-certified for dust and waterproofing, and the MIL-STD-810 G tests for durability against accidental drops and other mechanical damage have also been passed. In extreme weather conditions, the Cat S32 is claimed to remain functional and comes with a textured design for stronger grip.

Cat S32 price, availability The Cat S32 is priced at EUR 299 (around Rs. 24,000) and will soon be available from the official website of Cat, authorized retailers and carrier partners. It is powered by the quad-core processor MediaTek Helio A20 combined with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128 GB).

It sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an autofocus (PDAF) for f/2.0 aperture and phase detection. On the front, the Cat S32 packs a 5-megapixel camera to take care of selfies. It comes with a 4,200mAh battery that supports fast charging. Connectivity on the Cat S32 is managed by 4 G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n /ac, micro-USB 2.0, GPS / A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidu, and Galileo.
